A Father’s Words Of Wisdom To His Daughters After The Presidential Election

Most people will never get to see how President Barack Obama relates with his family in the real world. Throughout the course of  his presidency Obama  has been negatively criticized by many  for how his administration has handled America’s political affairs in the world’s spectrum.

But what people fail to take into account is that  Barack Obama is just a regular guy who happened to work his way up the political latter. Or at least that’s what a lot of people have been led to believe. Becoming the first African American to hold office at the white house as the president of the United States. Throughout 2005 to 2008 he represented Illinois in the U.S Senate and in the Illinois State Senate through 1997 to 2004. Nine months after being inaugurated as the 44th president, Barack Obama was named the 2009 Noble Peace Prize laureate.

But to his two daughters Malia, born Malia Ann on July 4 1998 and Natasha ( known as Sasha), born June 10, 2001 , Barack Obama is more then just the president of the United States. Obama inspires his daughters to be humanitarian.

Shortly before his inauguration, Obama published an open letter to his daughters Malia and Sasha in Parade magazine, where he describes what he wants for them and every child in America.

“To grow up in a world with no limits on your dreams and your achievements beyond your reach, and to grow into compassionate, committed women who will help build that world.”

Both Malia and Sasha were named two of “The 25 Most Influential Teens of 2014” by Time magazine.

Explaining the 2016 Presidential Election

And so engaging in an intense conversation with his daughter with regards to the outcome of the 2016 presidential election was hard enough to explain to Malia and Sasha.

The magazine New Yorker revealed the manner in which Obama consoled his daughters, Sasha and Malia after Hillary Clinton was defeated in the presidential election to Donald Trump.

What Obama explained  “to them is that people are complicated” and “societies and cultures are really complicated” in nature.

“This is not mathematics; this is biology and chemistry. These are living organism, and is messy,” stated the President.

“Your job as a citizen and as a decent human being is to constantly affirm and lift up and fight for treating people with kindness and respect and understanding,” he added.

Obama, like many other parents in America, found it difficult to explain to  his daughter how a person who throughout his entire presidential campaign spoke of nothing but division and has received pleasure from the complements of individuals like KKK grand wizard David Duke and who also has bluntly bragged about grabbing woman inappropriately without their consent.
