Shooting In Portland During Protest Leaves one Man Wounded



Portland, Oregon authorities say a man was shot Saturday during an anti-Trump demonstration.

In a statement given by Portland authorities, “in the early morning hours of Saturday November 12, 2016, a man was injured in a shooting on the Morrison Bridge during a protest.”

Authorities say,preliminary information indicates that a suspect was in a vehicle on the bridge and there was a confrontation with someone in the protest….suspect got out of the vehicle and fired multiple shots.”

Injured man had suffered minor wound and was taken to a nearby hospital. Authorities say the victim was administered emergency aid before ambulance arrived.

Witnesses told Portland authorities the shooter was a young African -American male slender build dressed in jeans and a hoodie. The assailant was driving a silver or gray sedan.

People have flooded the streets in protest of the President-elect Donald Trump. It has been reported that Portland has been where the most violence has occurred in relation to the protest against Trump’s Presidential victory over Hillary Clinton.
