Manny Pacquiao Beats Jessie Vargas

OK you boxing fans. As expected Manny Pacquiao beats the breaks out of Jessie Vargas and wins by decision.

Pacquiao, who had supposedly retired came out on Saturday looking magnificent, winning unanimously in a dececion against vargas. Manny Pacquiao won the welterweight title from Jessie Vargas by scores of 114-113, 118- 109, 118- 109.

In attendance to the Manny vs. Vargas main event was none other then Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Mayweather watched as Pacquiao beat Vargas up. But everyone is wondering if Pacquiao did enough to impress Mayweather to come out of retirement for what would be a fight that will earn both Mayweather and Pacquiao lots of money.

Some say Pacquiao might not have what it takes to win a fight over Mayweather. But we supposed is a fight we might not be able to see being Mayweather has since retired leaving boxing fans to fantasy about Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2.

When Mayweather  was asked what was his thoughts on the Manny vs Vargas fight by commentators near ringside, he simply shrugged his shoulders as if to say, he was not impressed.

Jessie Vargas was said to have had the biggest opportunity of his career with this fight but he came up short. In fact  not everyone thought he was going to lose this fight ,considering he almost knocked out Timothy Bradley in 2015 and beat Sadam Ali, becoming the welterweight champion last March, a title he held for eight months.

Manny Pacquiao on the other hand fought gracefully, showing that he still has what a take to be a good fighter.

When asked who he would like to fight next, Pacquiao response was, “I don’t know, whoever the people want me to fight, I’m okay with that….Anybody at 147.”

Both Pacquiao and Vargas purses for this fight was respectively fair considering it did not create much of buzz for boxing fans to tuned in on ppv.

Manny Pacquiao earned about $4 million but was expected to earn more based on ppv purchased.

Jessie Vargas earned a respectable $2.8 million.
